We aim to ensure that key messages of HIV/AIDS, hygiene, reproductive health and life skills become routine learning programs, we work with 23 schools to establish Girls empowerment programmes with participation of both girls and boys from Standard 4 to Standard 8 in each school. Each club is under the guidance of a mentor teacher trained in child participation approaches. Club members run their own activities are encouraged to identify priority issues. We provide relevant information and other learning resources, including occasional guest speakers. Boys are encouraged and do participate in the club activities including debating, essays, songs, tree planting, clean ups etc.
